Hi,
My name is Daniel Brierton and I'm a software design and web development student in Athlone I.T.
I use technologies including PHP, HTML, CSS and jQuery to develop web applications and sites.
I taught myself HTML and CSS with nothing but a book, and examining the source code of existing websites, to understand how they work. I then went on to learn PHP, MySQL and Javascript through online tutorials, and help from experienced coders.
I am currently in my third year in Athlone I.T. studying for a BSc. in Software Design (Web Development). It is a modern course aimed at teaching both software and web development. The outcome is that we are proficient in the design, specification, implementation and testing of desktop and web software, using Java, C#, and their web derivatives, JSP and ASP.NET. In my spare time I like to keep up with the latest in web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3, and the latest advancements in Javascript. I have a high interest mobile development, both web and native.
